Problem
Residential compounds in Mongolia usually run on paper notices taped up in lifts, complaints by phone and paper invoices. Each flat’s smart devices sit in a separate vendor app.
Solution
Our multi-tenant platform has three parts.
- Resident app: in the Mongolian-first app (public on iOS, with Android builds ready), residents get official notices, a compound feed, chat, repair requests with photos and monthly invoices. Anyone can also browse homes for rent or sale and local businesses.
- Back office: in 43 pages, staff handle requests against response-time targets, see who has read each notice, bill from the fee contract and meter readings, and follow live figures on a 3D model of the compound.
- Smart home: each resident controls their own air purifier, ceiling light and home camera through a low-cost ESP32 hub or a cloud bridge.
Outcome
Live on the App Store since 5 October 2026, 38 days after the first commit. Version 1.4.0 shipped on 28 October after 9+ App Store builds and 15+ over-the-air updates.
About 290 API endpoints, 55 database tables and 1,600+ automated tests; every API release is deployed automatically with a database backup and a way to roll back.
The smart-home layer runs 24/7 in one household as a pilot, and residents are only starting to use the app.
