Smart home
Run your home’s devices from one app
Xiaomi, Tuya, ESPHome, IP cameras: we connect devices from different brands in one app in Mongolian.
- Xiaomi Mi Home
- Tuya / Smart Life
- ESPHome
- ESP32
- IP cameras (GB28181)
How it works
A small hub in every home, a cloud bridge for devices that can’t be controlled locally, and one protocol into one app. This design already runs in one pilot household through our Central Garden Residence app.
Devices
- Air purifier Pilot
- Ceiling light Pilot
- IP camera Pilot
- Breaker and switch Prototype
-
Home hub (ESP32)
Talks to the devices that allow it over the home network, in their own protocol. About every 10 seconds it calls out to our server over an encrypted connection, reports its state and collects queued commands. So there is no port forwarding and no stored vendor password.
-
Cloud bridge
Some devices, such as one model of ceiling light, block control over the home network in their firmware. We connect those through the vendor’s cloud, signed in once with a QR code. No password is stored.
-
App
The server keeps every device’s state and ties each device to its owner’s account. The app updates its tiles instantly, without waiting for the device to respond. Camera video arrives about 0.5 seconds behind live.
If the internet drops, devices keep working with their own buttons. Devices controlled over the home network don’t depend on the vendor’s cloud, but app commands pass through our server, so app control returns when the connection does.
Devices we’ve connected
Every status is stated honestly. “Pilot” means running 24/7 in one household through our Central Garden Residence app.
Pilot 3
-
Xiaomi Air Purifier 4 Lite
Through the ESP32 hub, over the home network: PM2.5, temperature, humidity and filter life; power, mode and fan speed.
-
Philips ceiling light (Xiaomi)
Through the cloud bridge: power, brightness, warm and cool white, Atmosphere mode and preset scenes.
-
IP camera (GB28181)
In the app: live view about 0.5 seconds behind real time, two-way talk, pan and tilt.
Prototype 5
-
Tongou 63 A DIN-rail breaker
Taken off the cloud and reflashed with ESPHome: switching plus voltage, current, power and energy metering. Tested on one unit.
-
Tuya wall switch
On and off through the Tuya OpenAPI.
-
Tuya video door lock
Remote unlock and battery level through the Tuya OpenAPI.
-
Tuya video lock camera
The lock camera’s encrypted live stream, decrypted and shown in the browser.
-
Xiaomi air conditioner and router
Through Mi Cloud: air-conditioner mode, temperature and fan; the router’s connected devices and an internet speed test.
Research 1
-
Cloud-free Bluetooth lock
Research into controlling a Tuya lock over Bluetooth, without the vendor’s cloud. It does not work yet; we are still finding out whether it can.
Where to start
-
Flat
In the flat you already live in, see air quality, lighting and cameras in one app.
- Survey of your devices and Wi-Fi
- An always-on ESP32 hub
- One app in Mongolian
- Add new devices whenever you like
-
House
In a house with many rooms and circuits, we start by mapping the electrical panel.
- Electrical panel survey and circuit map
- Smart DIN-rail breakers to switch circuits remotely and meter their use
- Home camera: live view and two-way talk
- Mains work done by qualified electricians
-
Residential compound or developer
Smart-home controls sit in the same app as the compound’s notices, bills and repair requests, so you can offer smart flats on one platform.
- One platform for many compounds
- A resident app and a web system for the management staff
- A smart-home layer for new-build flats
- Every device tied to the resident’s own account
How we do it
-
Survey and circuit map
We look at your devices, Wi-Fi and electrical panel and map which breaker feeds what.
-
Design
We set out in writing what connects with which device, and what runs over the home network or through the cloud.
-
Installation
We install and set up the hub and devices. Mains connections are made by qualified electricians.
-
App and training
We set up the app and show your family how to use it.
-
Support
We ship updates, add new devices and fix any problems.
FAQ
Common questions
Can I use the devices I already have?
It depends on the model. We have worked with Xiaomi Mi Home, Tuya / Smart Life, ESPHome and GB28181 IP cameras, but every model is different. Send us the model name and we’ll check whether it can be connected, then tell you honestly.
Do I have to give you my vendor app password?
No. The hub talks directly to the devices that allow it over the home network. Devices that only work through the vendor’s cloud are connected with a one-time QR sign-in, and no password is stored.
Who can see my camera?
Only someone signed in to your account. The camera belongs to your account, and every video link is re-checked against the current owner on every request.
Who does the electrical work?
Anything that touches the electrical panel or mains voltage is done only by qualified electricians. We measure and map the circuits before changing anything. Once, when we found a light’s driver board was not safely isolated, we left it untouched and connected the light through the cloud instead.
